The main objectives of our Performance Coaches are to improve an individual’s

in enhancing performance, but also play a key role in preventing and rehabilitating
injuries.

and currently work with professional teams. However, the principles of high
performance training as applied at the elite level can be just as effective
for the general population irrespective of their athletic prowess. Programs

needs, and sport.
Nutritional Therapy Screening

take your health into your own hands. With this Performance Package our Nutritional
Therapist will work alongside you and your Performance Coach to keep you at

Nutritional therapy encompasses the use of carefully compiled individual
prescriptions for diet and lifestyle in order to alleviate or prevent ailments
and promote optimal health and performance. Our Nutritional Therapist can provide
guidance on methods to support digestion and absorption, natural detoxification,
procedures to promote colon health, the avoidance of ingestion or inhalation
of toxins or allergens and the appropriate use of supplementary nutrients.
Nutritional therapists often work with patients who have chronic health problems
that conventional medicine finds difficult to treat. These include allergies,
digestive and bowel disorders, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, depression or
stress, auto-immune conditions, weight loss, migraine and skin disorders.
Sports Specific Nutrition
Nutrition has a vast amount to offer the athlete. A poor diet will prevent
a good athlete from achieving their potential. Area's in which Nutrition can
contribute to improved performance include; Functional nutrition for the travelling
athlete, hydration, Iron depletion, making weight in sport, pre and post competition
nutrition, supplements and sports foods, training nutrition and vitamin, mineral
and antioxidant needs of athletes
The consultation process:
- Prior to the first session you will be posted a questionnaire
enquiring about your health history along with a food diary to complete.
- During the first session the nutritional therapist will focus on creating
a picture of your current health status, your lifestyle and dietary
habits.
- You will be provided with some initial dietary recommendations and
it may be necessary at this stage to order certain functional tests (e.g. Food Allergen
Cellular testing, Osteoporosis Risk Assessment, Cardiovascular Risk
Assessment, Anaemia profile, Gut Permeability) to determine the underlying
causes of
any symptoms.
- The first session is followed with a detailed assessment and plan
including recommendations, a tailored meal plan if desired, with
recipes, and any recommended
supplementation. You will be walked through this during the second
session.
- A review is scheduled approximately six weeks after your initial
consultation. This allows time for changes to become embedded
and the initial effects of
any dietary changes seen. During this session your progress will
be assessed and any necessary changes made to your programme.
