Nutritional Therapy - What to expect

Prior to the initial consultation you will be posted a questionnaire enquiring about your health history along with a food diary to complete. You will be asked to return this to the Nutritional Therapist before your consultation.

The initial consultation will last approximately an hour.  During this time the nutritional therapist will focus on creating a picture of your current health status, your lifestyle and dietary habits.  You will be provided with some initial dietary recommendations and it may be necessary at this stage to order certain functional tests to determine the underlying causes of any symptoms.

This testing can include:

  • Adrenal Stress Testing

  • Anaemia profiles

  • Cardiovascular Risk Assessment

  • Female Hormone Panel

  • Food Allergen Cellular Testing

  • Gut Permeability

  • Male Hormone Panels

  • Menopause Profile

  • Osteoporosis Risk Assessment

  • Thyroid Hormone Screens

The initial consultation is followed with a detailed assessment and plan including recommendations, a tailored meal plan if desired, with recipes, and any recommended supplementation.

A follow-up consultation is scheduled approximately six weeks after your initial consultation. This allows time for changes to become embedded and the initial effects of any dietary changes seen. During this consultation your progress will be assessed and any necessary changes made to your programme.
