“…I value the challenge of Soft Tissue Work and achieving results with patients. I am constantly amazed by the human body and the amount we can learn from it”

Monica is a qualified Myotherapist from Australia with 4 years clinical experience. After completing her studies at RMIT University in Melbourne Monica worked with Melbourne Storm Rugby Club. Most recently she worked at a leading Sports Injury Clinic in Perth where she was involved with treating a variety of elite athletes from the Western Australian Institute of Sport and the Australian Institute of Sport. She has worked with sporting teams such as the Australian Cricket Team, Australian men’s and women’s Hockey teams, Perth Glory Soccer Club, Perth Wildcats Basketball Club as well as touring international teams, including the British Cycling Team.

Within that time she has been challenged by the diversity within these sports and the specific injuries that occurred. Her speciality interests include a vast array of injuries from the ankles through to the neck. Monica enjoys working within a team sport environment, from Netball, to Rugby through to Cricket but she is also constantly inspired by the drive of individual athletes having been involved in athletics at a young age.

Monica was also an athlete at the Victorian Institute of Sport for 2 years, participating in their Netball program competing at both state and national levels during this time. She is now a keen marathoner having received the running-bug from her father.

"From a young age I have always shown a keen interested in sports and it seemed only natural to migrate into Soft Tissue Therapy. I have experienced the benefits of professional care first hand as an athlete and its ability to maximise my sporting performance. I enjoy helping clients achieve their goals through soft tissue techniques and working with a vast variety of people from all types of backgrounds.

I thoroughly enjoy the variation of treating both elite and non elite athletes. I value the challenge of Soft Tissue Work and achieving results with patients. I am constantly amazed by the human body and the amount we can learn from it”
