Jarrod Antflick, Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist“Working as a physiotherapist is like problem solving for the body - looking for clues, pursuing the answers, and discovering new things everyday" BHSc TCM, BApp Sc (Physiotherapy) Jarrod has worked as consulting physiotherapist for Repsol Honda (HRC) in the MotoGP, 250cc and 125cc classes, and has worked with two MotoGP World Champion's from Repsol Honda and Marlboro Ducati. He has also worked as a consulting physiotherapist with Hannspree Ten Kate Honda at the World Superbike Championships at Philip Island. He most recently consulted with riders from the Stiggy Honda WSBK team and the Joe Darcey Team in Spain. As well as motorcycle racing, Jarrod has worked in Australia as Head Physiotherapist for the Sydney Roosters development and reserve grade (Newtown Jets NSWRL) sides. "When I was very young it was always my job at large family dinners to walk around the table and treat all of my family members. Becoming a Physiotherapist seemed the only logical progression! Working as a Physiotherapist is like problem solving for the body - looking for clues, pursuing the answers, and discovering new things every day. I believe that Physiotherapy is a profession based around the concepts of obtaining a correct diagnosis first and foremost, followed by the implementation of an effective treatment programme by utilising the most clinical proven, evidence based techniques. When working through any problem, I like to provide my patients with a sound education and rationale into both their pathology and treatment plan. My personal interests include rugby, snowboarding, rock climbing, mountain biking and road racing. I enjoy being as active as possible, even going so far as to drag my wife snowboarding on our honeymoon to the Dolomites! With the love and support of my wife and family back home in Sydney, I’ve been very fortunate to be able to pursue both my personal and professional passions." |
