Physiotherapy gives me the opportunity on a daily basis to make a positive difference on people’s lives and their well being”

Clive graduated from physiotherapy at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia with a Masters in Physiotherapy in 2004. Ever since, he has worked predominantly in private practice in Melbourne and Perth, Australia. Since qualifying Clive has worked with local amateur and professional rugby and Australian Rules football teams.

“Ever since I was young I have watched and played as much sport as I could. I have particular interest in Australian Rules football, tennis and cycling. Once I finished my college education it was only natural that I was drawn to pursue a career in physiotherapy. Physiotherapy gives me the opportunity on a daily basis to make a positive difference on people’s lives and their well being, whether it is to compete in their chosen sport (at an elite level or the weekend warrior) or simply be able to do activities of daily living with more ease.

I find working with sporting teams is very exciting for me as you develop a close bond with the team and are a very important member of the team. I know with my own attempts to be a “competent” sportsman the challenges involved and therefore I strive in my job as a physiotherapist to helping people overcome these challenges especially when they cannot play their sport due to injury. I have particular interest in treating ankle and knee injuries but also enjoy treating spinal injuries.

I have travelled extensively and will continue to do so, as I am very passionate about exploring new places, cultures, cuisines and a major sporting event is always a good excuse to visit a country. These days I enjoy a weekly road bike session and regular gym work to keep myself in shape. I find myself in London as my partner is from here and hope to adopt this city as my own”
