“There is nothing more rewarding than helping people better themselves. By causing changes in the human body and alleviating pain and discomfort through deep tissue massage I am able to help the person physically and emotionally so that they can fulfil their everyday activities whether it be sitting at your desk without pain or being able to run that extra mile!”

Hayley gained her qualifications in sports massage from the London School of Sports Massage in December 2004. Previous to this she graduated from Leeds University in 2000 with a 2.1 in Sport and Exercise Science. Since being involved in sports massage she has worked with rugby and football players and has recently returned from a two year tour with the musical production of Cats.

My interest in sports massage developed whilst I was doing work experience as part of my degree at Crystal Palace football club. I was able to see behind the scenes at an elite club and experience the full process from injury through to rehabilitation of a player. I observed first hand what an integral role the backroom staff had at keeping the players at their optimum performance level and from that point on I knew I wanted to be involved in this line of work.

My greatest achievements to date are graduating from Leeds university with a BSc and surviving two years on the road with a touring dance company, managing to keep a troupe of 50 (dancers, crew, musicians) fit and healthy.

There is nothing more rewarding than helping people better themselves. By causing changes in the human body and alleviating pain and discomfort through deep tissue massage I am able to help the person physically and emotionally so that they can fulfil their everyday activities whether it be sitting at your desk without pain or being able to run that extra mile!

On a personal note I love all sports especially football and skiing, and I am looking forward to the challenges I will face whilst being part of the Pure Sports Medicine team.
