Raynes Park's Testimonials

'I have been a regular visitor at Pure over the last year. I aim to improve as a runner and have been helped through massage, orthotics and nutrition. I am especially impressed by the extremely effective holistic osteopathy treatments by Chris Wilkes. I am fitter and stronger because of these and my biomechanics are improving, all of which reduces injuries. You will never find my name on the celebrity board but I feel I have received the same level and quality of care as if it was.'

'From the first contact that I had with Pure sports I was impressed and reassured by the professional, practical and friendly way that I was treated.

All the reception and administrative staff were friendly and efficient, arranging not just appointments, but going out of their way to contact hospitals and out patient departments around London, this is something that means a lot as the initial contact is when you are at your lowest both physically and emotionally, and having other people sort out problems makes all the difference to being able to concentrate on the job of getting better.

The doctors and especially the physical therapist, Andrea, who the doctors referred me to were outstanding, with sensible advise plenty of encouragement and applying just the right amount of pressure to keep at it and eventually make a full recovery.

This is a long time overdue, but I would like to extend my heart felt thanks to everyone who I was lucky enough to come into contact with.'

Having visited a few sports therapists for my two over worked and aged knees I came to Pure Sports Medicine with a bit of trepidation that anything would get me right. However, with the exceptional Gill taking charge things have slowly got back to some sort of shape. At one point I was still not there however, and eventually after much persuasion by Gill, I went to the equally exceptional Pure Sports Medicine Podiatrist Amanda (who I assumed was paying a kick back to Gill being as she was so persuasive). However, it was not money driven; only 'knees getting better' driven, and I am well on the way to being 100% again. Remember, it is only beneficial if you put in the work too, so do what they say!

'I have had back problems for several years and worked with many physios, but Annie Williams is simply the best I have come across. Not only is her treatment immediately effective, but she also works with you to ensure that your condition continues to improve long-term. She is also very skilled in post-op rehab and gets you up and about and living independently in short order. I think that one of things that makes Annie stand out is her ability to listen to you, not just about the pain, but also how it impacts on your life and then, devise a treatment plan that suits you and your goals.

Without Annie’s help, I would not be able to do all the things I do now in my life & for that I am very grateful – don’t know what I would do without her!'

'My name is Charles Jude and I am the General Manager of David Lloyd Raynes Park. In March whilst playing tennis with my daughter my right knee gave way. It became apparent after a few weeks I needed an operation because I tore my anterior cruciate ligament, as well as tearing my cartilage.

I had the operation at the Parkside Wimbledon Hospital with Mr Fairbanks and he recommened intensive physiotherapy after the operation. I started seeing Andrea who is one of three physio’s down in Pure sports Medicine. I have seen many physio’s over the years and what I have found exceptional about Andrea is her ability to push myself and my knee beyond my comfort zone without doing any damage.

When I was taking comfort on my crutches she took them off me, she trained me to walk without a limp by building up my muscles, and has set me numerous exercises to keep me on track. The total rehabilitation period after this operation is approximately 9 months and I am nearly half way through.

I owe this success to Andrea and the team in Pure Sports Medicine at getting me back on track.'
