Hakan Alfredson's Tendon Clinic
Our Tendon Clinic is run by Professor Hakan Alfredson, Orthopaedic Consultant and one of the worlds leading specialists in the treatment of tendons. This service is unique within the UK, and currently takes place at either our City or Canary Wharf Clinic every six weeks.
Professor Alfredson predominantly treats achilles tendons and patella tendons, and his treatments in these areas are cutting edge within the medical world.
An initial appointment with Professor Alfredson will include a brief assessment of your injury and medical history, an examination, and the use of diagnostic Ultrasound. You will then be taken through the findings and will discuss treatment options. These include: Physiotherapy (eccentric exercises), ultrasound guided injections and minimally invasive surgery.
The Tendon Clinic is assisted by two of Pure Sports Medicine’s clinicians who have particular experience working with tendons: Dr Lorenzo Masci, and Physiotherapist, Rebecca Christenson.
Hakan's next clinic will be held at our Canary Wharf clinic, from Monday 16th January - Thursday 19th January.
