Pre and Post-Natal Therapy

We understand how difficult and bewildering pregnancy can be, so we have a number of clinicians at Pure Sports Medicine that can provide you with the specialist support and attention you need to assist you throughout your pregnancy.

Many people think that pain or discomfort should be endured during pregnancy as symptoms will subside after birth, however, some symptoms can continue. To ensure this isn’t case we highly recommend seeking help from a Physiotherapist as soon as any problems develop.

Not only can physiotherapy help alleviate any immediate pain you are experiencing, our clinicians can also teach you exercises in order to help your body deal with the changes it is experiencing, and avoid the onset of some symptoms.

Nutritional Therapy is also extremely important before, during, and after pregnancy. Nutrition is an important factor in fertility, and it is equally important after birth if you choose to breastfeed your baby. During pregnancy your body changes, and with it, your nutritional requirements increase. There are a number of different food types that should be avoided, many that should be increased, and some that are particularly beneficial.
