Back and Neck Pain

Figures show that more than 40% of people in the UK will experience back or neck pain at some point in their lives. The good news is that something can be done, and we regularly treat people with various types of back and neck pain.

If you are experiencing back or neck pain it is important to keep relatively active, lying on your back for extended periods can actually stiffen your spine further. If pain persists, is chronic, or your symptoms don’t improve, it is important to have your back or neck thoroughly examined by sports medicine specialist.

The vast majority of people with back and neck pain respond positively to an appropriate regime of manual therapy followed by an exercise program. This is the most effective way to alleviate back pain in both the short and long term. Our Physiotherapists are able to implement a regime such as this.

Beyond simply treating your existing condition, our Physiotherapists will work to address the cause of the pain you are experiencing and get you working to actively build a fitter, stronger, more flexible and balanced body.
